winter hat

I made this one a little too big for my kiddo. He was still quite happy about it.

I have made this in the full size and it seems to come out kind of small and not all that slouchy. (I do have a ton of hair.) It's an easy pattern though so I think I'll mess with it some more. The yarn I used was by Lionbrand and it is quite thick, so it works up pretty fast.



It reminds me of a cartoon style honey pot. I can see this crocheted in yellow and brown, with little amigurumi bees or appliques put on.

winter came

We had some snope. And it was cold. And I don't like cold.

It was a good little layer that occurred early in the winter season.

Stop everything! What is this dark magic?

It was barely enough to make a reasonable snow man. But the kids tried.

"Is this how you snowman?"

And one can clearly tell we are not accustomed to having snow throughout the winter. Galoshes just wouldn't do.

Was gifted this pretty little thing yesterday.❤ Needs a good cleaning but i cant wait to load her up and see how she does.

Took a walk along the river today. Don't these look like a tiny city?

Goldcrest

A little bird the cat dragged in. I caught sight of him as my cat has his claws around him. Scooted kitty away and placed the basket over the bird. Poor thing was terrified, breathing so fast, and wouldn't open his eyes. I left him there to recover himself and as soon as he did we released him back to the wild wild suburbs.

dang canadians

Our river has a little marina type formation where geese gather in large gangs. They are quite pushy.
